After being awarded his diploma and reciving a medal from the Queen of Denmark, he spent the early part of his career as a waiter at prestige restaurants in Copenhagen. In 2008, he joined the team at the one star Michelin Herman 1 and gained extensive experience in world of fine wines. Jonathans skills was soon recognised and he progressed quickly to Head Sommelier at Michelin Restaurant, Restaurant Kofoed. In the later years he moved to Stavanger and worked there for some of Norway’s finest establishments, as head sommelier. Jonathans Lundgrens distinguished selections of wines have been frequently recognised by critics as one of the finest in Stavanger. The passionate young man has achieved a number of accolades and joined several competitions including The National Sommelier Championship and Ruinart Challenge.
Lately he founded the JRL Wine Consulting and became a part of the DRM of Norway family, as Director of Operations. Where he oversees that events are perfect and that staff is well trained.
With his finesse he uses extra ordinary service skills, expertise and passion for wines with focusing on driving service excellence, to ensure an extraordinary guest experience.
