1. UNOFEX RULES & TERMS
Introduction: The UNOFEX (Union of Excellence) is an exclusive member-only network and a great choice for filmmakers, producers, executives, actors, artists, fashion professionals, companies or brands working in the film & TV, fashion, art, entertainment and luxury industry. The UNOFEX Membership will also accredit and list you as an UNOFEX certified industry professional verified under our Standard of Excellence and is committed to support and empower your career or to promote your work as a professional. Also, the UNOFEX Membership connects you to professionals around the world at through our digital environment or through physical occasions like Filmmaker Events, Cocktail Evenings, Award Shows, and offers access to our powerful network, PR and presentation tools.
1.1 The requirements
You must have been involved in one of the above listed industries for at least three years with significant professional experiences and proven success in your field in order to be reviewed by the membership committee of the UNOFEX. Please read more about the Standards of Excellence at the Accreditation Section. After examining the application, you will receive a letter from our membership department. New members will be officially introduced through our platform, news or media channels and enjoy all the benefits described on our website. Applications are open throughout the year.
1.2 Where our members come from
The UNOFEX network is a global community representing the best of an international standard and has accredited members in the UK, Germany, Monaco, France, Italy, USA, Norway, Spain and Switzerland.
1.3 Personal Details
You are obliged to provide correct personal details when you apply for UNOFEX Membership and your failure to do so may invalidate your Membership. Your responsibility to provide accurate information is a continuing obligation and you must notify UNOFEX in the event that any information provided by you changes.
2. EVENT POLICY
2.1 Access to all venues is subject to availability and any rules and restrictions imposed by the individual establishment and their door policy These restrictions are likely to include, but are not restricted to:
a) Dress code - dressing smartly or as appropriate to the venue or our event
b) Intoxication - If inebriated you are likely to be refused entry
2.2 Entrance fees will still apply at some venues or some special events. We will inform you in advance of the event.
2.3 Guest lists or event participation should be submitted as early as possible. Please let us know at least 3 weeks before the event starts, if you will participate.
2.4 Your Membership is personal to you. You are responsible for ensuring that no one else uses your Membership.
2.5 Members are expected to be present at venues that they have organized guest lists for.
3. MEMBERSHIP FEES, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
3.1 UNOFEX Membership is payable annually in advance by a secure internet payment or bank transfer. Membership will continue in perpetuity unless cancelled. 12 months is the minimum membership period, after which cancelation can be made at any time.
3.2 You may cancel this agreement for a full refund at any point within 2 working days as long as you have not used the service.
3.3 If you wish to cancel your membership at any point after 2 days (or after the service has been used) then please contact UNOFEX. There is a 12 month minimum membership period.
3.4 UNOFEX reserves the absolute right to cancel or suspend your Membership (at its sole discretion) for any reason whatsoever. If UnofEx cancels your Membership, it shall refund 50 percent of the balance of the annual Membership fee on a time apportionment basis in respect of the unexpired period to which the annual Membership fee relates.
3.5 When you register for UNOFEX Membership, your credit card or debit card is charged at regular intervals (as determined by you) annually. Payments are taken through PayPal or bank wire transfer and your agreement, and hence your payments will run until you decide you no longer wish to continue. If at any point after the first payment you wish to cancel your agreement, please contact UNOFEX.
4. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
4.1 As a Member of the UNOFEX you are entitled to all of the benefits described on the website.
4.2 In order to use our services unrestricted, you must surpass the minimum age of 21 years.
4.3 As a registered Member of UNOFEX, please note that suppliers of benefits and the benefits themselves are subject to availability and may change from time to time without notice.
4.4 UnofEx aims to ensure that the benefits remain available at all times and are constantly negotiating new benefits to ensure that you receive maximum use of your Membership. If any of the benefits become unavailable, we will do all we can to ensure that prior commitments are honored to the fullest extent possible but shall not be responsible for any actions of suppliers or venues outside UnofEx's control.
5. ACCREDITATION AND LISTING
5.1 Accreditation – the Quality Mark by UNOFEX
Creative Professionals, Corporations and Institutions in the film & TV, fashion, art and entertainment industry are increasingly seeking both national and globally recognized international accreditations. Accreditation has become an accepted and important process to undertake in the globalized world and the UNOFEX Certification is also widely regarded as an independent ‘mark of quality’ by prospective, international professionals and institutions. Every member who meets our standards is considered to be accredited and this review is part of every membership application. AS an award, new members receive a certification badge that confirms their membership for successful admission to the UNOFEX.
5.2 Public Profile and Listing
The professional profile offers members to manage and showcase their references, pictures, collections, video, movies and credits they are known for. Every member profile is reviewed and created by hand by one of our editors before publication to meet the communication and visual standards of the Union of Excellence. The Public profile is available to a global public and to all search engines.
5.3 Registration Process:
When you completed the membership form, our membership team will review it and follow up with you if more information are needed. If your application is approved, you will receive an email confirming your membership within one to three business days. 6. UNOFEX MEMBERSHIP CARD (Patrons only)
6.1 The UNOFEX Card is an exclusive instrument which may be used as a symbol of your membership and grants you access to the events and activities of the UNOFEX. The UNOFEX Membership card is available only to Patron Members and Sponsors of the UNOFEX.
6.2 The UNOFEX Card may only be used by the person to whom the Card was issued. The Card is non-transferable, and you are not permitted to allow other persons to use your Card, for example by disclosing your Member ID or allowing them to use Your Card or membership details to use the services from the UnofEx.
6.3 If you lose your Card or it is stolen or damaged please notify us immediately by phone on the telephone number provided on this website. You will be asked to provide Membership ID and other information to verify that you are the authorized cardholder.
6.4 After you have notified UnofEx of the loss, and providing that we are able to identify your Card, we may issue a replacement Membership Card to you. The amount of the replacement fee is 40 EUR.
7. LIABILITY
7.1 Save in respect of death and personal injury caused by the negligence of UNOFEX or as expressly provided for in these Terms and Conditions, UNOFEX shall not be liable for any loss, cost, expense or damage of any nature whatever (whether direct or indirect) resulting from the provision of services or your reliance upon the information and suggestions provided by UNOFEX hereunder and the resulting supply of services to you by any third party
7.2 UnofEx shall have no liability to you for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation arising from requests or instructions supplied by you which are incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate or any other fault of you
7.3 UnofEx shall not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of UnofEx 's obligations in relation to its services, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond UnofEx 's reasonable control.
7.4 Except in respect of death and personal injury and subject to the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, UnofEx's maximum liability to you for breach of any of its obligations hereunder shall be limited to the value of the annual Membership fee.
7.5 This section applies only to the extent permitted by law.
8. CHANGES TO THE UNOFEX RULES
8.1 UNOFEX may vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time and will notify you of any changes in a timely manner. Notification will be by some or all of the following medium:
a) The UNOFEX Newsletter
b) The UNOFEX Website
c) Email
d) The post or other personal delivery service
8.2 Your continued use of your Membership constitutes acceptance of the altered Terms and Conditions
9. LINKS
UNOFEX assumes no responsibility for the contents of any other web sites to which the Site has links and shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damages caused or alleged to have been caused by use of or reliance on any content, products or services available on such hyperlinked sites. UnofEx may not have control of such web sites. The inclusion of any hyperlinks to such other web sites does not mean that UnofEx endorses the material on such web sites or has any association with the owner thereof.
10. COPYRIGHT AND PLAGIARISM
UNOFEX LLC owns or is lawfully entitled to all of the copyright in this Site. All other intellectual property rights are reserved. This Site is for your personal use only - you may not use it for commercial purposes. You may only download to your personal computer for viewing purposes and print out a number of pages of this Site for your personal use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from this Site. This applies to all non-members, including anyone who visits this Site.
11. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions and your Membership with UNOFEX LLC are governed by the laws of New York, United States and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York The provisions of the Privacy Statement shall apply at all times.
