RULES
RULES & ELIGIBILITY
Here you will find information on the rules and eligibility for the UNOFEX Film Award. The UNOFEX Film Awards is a film competition that honors outstanding achievements in the International film industry and is open to submissions from all around to globe. A jury made up of producers, directors, actors and filmmakers selects the winners in 3 categories of best film, best short film and best actress/ best actor. This year's award ceremony will be broadcast digitally.
ELIGIBILITY - UNOFEX FILM AWARDS

Competition is open to worldwide entries from all continents

Feature films are 40 minutes in length or longer. Short films are under 40 minutes in length.

Films not in the English language must be subtitled in English.

Entries must not have premiered to the public before 1, January 2021. If your work was completed before 2021, please contact us before submitting.

Multiple entries are allowed for each filmmaker and each entry may be entered in multiple categories

UNOFEX employees, including seasonal and event staff, board members, sponsors, and their immediate families, are not eligible to submit in any category to this competition.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. If you are submitting a rough cut and update your submission later, we cannot guarantee that the updated version will be reviewed.
SUPPORT MATERIALS
SCREENERS - Secure online screener links are the previewing method. Entries can also be submitted for pre-screening on Vimeo or YouTube link. If you use a secured link, you are required to keep us updated with passwords or your film may be rejected. No hard copies will be accepted for entries. If you need to submit in another format, please contact info@unionofexcellence.com to make arrangements.
PROMOTION - Provide concise loglines, synopsis, artist statement/cover letters, behind-the-scene photos, (and trailers for feature films) etc. Please also include a filmography and one portrait of the director.
3) NOTIFICATIONS
The notification of the acceptance status will be sent to all participants within 3 working days.
4)FEES | SUPPORTING MATERIAL:
The participation fee must be paid via the UNOFEX platform under the section submissions.

The participation fee for feature films (over 40 minutes) is USD 45

The participation fee for short films (less than 40 minutes) is USD 30
For UNOFEX Members: Submission is free of charge for UNOFEX members.
Accepted entries must submit at least one digital, horizontal 300dpi still photo from the film and at least one web-ready still at 72dpi and 1440x900 pixels.
5) DISCLAIMER
By submitting to this competition, you hereby grant the UNOFEX AG (registered in Zurich Switzerland & New York City) permission to screen and otherwise use the aforementioned title (the “Work”) in connection with the UNOFEX Film Awards. You represent and warrant that you have all the rights in and to the Work and/or you have the authority to grant UNOFEX the rights to screen and otherwise use the Work. Your film awards acceptance also grants UNOFEX permission to use stills and excerpts from the Work for promotional and publicity use.
Should unforeseen events alter the format of the UNOFEX Awards, we will contact and inform filmmakers in selection of how such events may affect and change the nature of their status.
