CLAIRE MATARESE
Claire Matarese is a young fashion designer born in South of France (8th december 1995), Founder and Designer of the swimwear brand Kara Shelvin. She was verified by the Union of Excellence Committee in March 2018 as an official fashion industry member.
Background
After graduating from high school (she got baccalaureate from Economics and Social section), she studied Communication and Business Administration in IUM (International University of Monaco).
Facinated by fashion, innovation and entrepreneurship, she discovered in 2016 a new ready to wear fabric : fish leather. After a year of research, Claire’s entrepreneurial desire became evident, she created Kara Shelvin, one of the first swimwear brands to use fish leather in its creations.
Basking in an elegant and trendy atmosphere of the French Riviera, the brand is famous for its sexy and sophisticated modern designs, as well as attention to details and savoir-faire in the selection of hard-to-work fabric and patterns.
